This is the basic grocery list you are going to need.  If you already have some of these items, just cross them off your list.  You can also eliminate anything you are allergic to, as I will have lots of other options for those who are intolerant to gluten, eggs, dairy, fish, peanuts, and soy.

1. whole wheat flour

2. egg or egg substitute (powdered in the natural food department of most supermarkets)

3. whole wheat crackers

4. milk, soy milk, or almond milk

5. soy sauce, or equivalant

6. green Tabasco(R) sauce ( no substitutes!)

7. bell peppers, red peppers or bagged frozen versions if fresh is out-of-budget

8. garlic salt

9. chicken broth (later, I will teach you how to make your own!)

10. beef broth

11. Garlic paste

12. romaine lettuce

13. spicy-brown mustard

14. 2 cans tomato paste

15. 2 cans of tomato sauce

16. 1 package ground beef (at least 12 oz) FREEZE UNTIL DAY-OF-USE

17. 1 package ground turkey (at least 12 oz) FREEZE UNTIL DAY-OF-USE

18. 1 whole chicken, cut-up FREEZE UNTIL DAY-BEFORE-USE

19. variety of potatoes; i.e. russet, French fingerling, small red, etc.

20. tortilla chips

21. whole wheat flour tortillas

22. frozen, boneless skinless chicken breasts (at least 2.5 lbs)

23. Franks(R) hot sauce (NOT with “butter” flavor)

24. butter, or margarine

25. bread crumbs

26. panko bread crumbs

27. olive oil

28. Crisco or equivalant

29. Grapeseed oil

30. variety of packaged noodles (i.e. elbow, angel hair, spaghetti, lasagna, etc.)

31. canned tomato sauce

32. 2 cans cooked tuna

33. 2 cans cooked chicken

34. loaf of sourdough bread (FREEZE UNTIL DAY-OF-USE)

35. dried herbs (at least rosemary, basil, oregano, and thyme)

36. lemon juice

37. lime juice

38. minced garlic

39. variety of fresh fruit, or canned if need be (except apples, choose fresh granny smith variety for most use)

40. green onion

41. carrots

42. celery

43. sweet onion

44. red onion

45. baking soda

46. baking powder

47. yeast

48. sesame seeds

49. lemon-lime soda

50. diet cream soda

51. tequila shooters (2 mini bottles) [obliviously, if you are a recurring alcoholic or live with an alcoholic, omit the alcohol.]

52. box of red wine or unsweetened cranberry juice

53. can of artichoke hearts

54. 1 box chocolate cake mix

55. all-purpose baking mix

56. salt

57. ground pepper

58. corn tortillas

59. a variety of nuts (soy, almonds, walnuts, etc.)

60. frozen corn

61. canned black beans X2

62. canned pinto beans X2

63. canned garbanzo beans (yes! we will be making hummus!)

64. tahini butter

65. canned white beans (often called navy beans)

66. canned jalapeno’s
